Telephony

Telephony is extensions and a PBX inside the suite, with the call record kept — so that a call is data rather than something that happened.

Try it in the demovoip · 2 tasks

Before you start

  • SIP credentials and a PBX server the extensions register against.

What Telephony does

Extensions and a PBX, with the call record kept.

01

Manage extensions, SIP credentials and PBX servers

The extension belongs to a person, the credentials to the extension, the server to the estate. Keeping the three apart is what lets somebody change desk without a reconfiguration.

02

Read call reports

Volumes, agents and queues. Queue figures are the ones that predict a complaint before it arrives.

What it claims to do

The capability list this guide is written against, unabridged. Nothing above adds to it.

Where it connects

The modules Telephony hands work to, or takes it from. Most problems that look like one module are a handover between two.
