Meet

Meet is video meetings built into the suite — and the record each one leaves: the agenda it ran to, the minutes somebody wrote, the actions it produced and who actually turned up.

Before you start

  • Rooms, if physical rooms are part of your meetings. Rooms here cannot be double-booked, which only helps once they exist.
  • Agreement that minutes get written. The record is only as good as that habit.

What Meet does

Video meetings built in, and the record each one leaves behind.

01

Schedule a meeting

The meeting is a record from the moment it is scheduled, not from the moment it starts. Rooms are held against it and cannot be taken twice.

02

Set participants, roles and RSVPs

Roles decide what somebody can do in the meeting; the RSVP is what tells you beforehand whether it is worth holding.

03

Run an agenda, keep minutes, raise actions

Agenda items structure the meeting; minutes record what was said; actions are what somebody has to do afterwards. The last of those is the only part anybody will look for again.

04

Rely on reminders

Reminders go out once, at offsets you set. Once is deliberate — a reminder that repeats is a reminder people filter.

05

Work across timezones

Meeting times are held in UTC with the booked timezone recorded alongside. That is what lets a meeting booked in Colombo read correctly in London without either end doing arithmetic.

What it claims to do

The capability list this guide is written against, unabridged. Nothing above adds to it.

Where it connects

The modules Meet hands work to, or takes it from. Most problems that look like one module are a handover between two.
