Priced per server, not per user
The per-user suites charge for every person you hire. Here is what that costs a team of 25, and what the other model buys you.

Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace are priced per user per month. It is a clean model, and for twelve people it is cheap. The trouble starts when the business grows, because the bill grows exactly as fast — and because the thing you are paying for stops at email, chat and files.
A team of twenty-five
On Microsoft 365 Business Standard, twenty-five people is $587.50 a month. On Google Workspace Business Standard it is $350. WorkSuite Basic is $49, because it is priced for the server it runs on and not for the number of people signing in to it. At a hundred people the gap is $2,350 against $49.
Those figures are US list prices with an annual commitment, as published in September 2026, and they exclude tax. We keep them on the comparison page with the date attached, because a competitor’s price quoted without a date quietly becomes a lie.
What the cheaper number includes
This is the part that matters more than the arithmetic. The per-user suites do not include a CRM, accounting, invoicing, expenses, inventory, point of sale, payroll, service contracts or a helpdesk. Those are separate products with their own per-user bills. WorkSuite’s price covers them, because they are the same installation.
And where it runs
Every plan runs on a server of its own, so the question of where your business data lives has an answer you chose. Add a backup server, an AI server or a storage server when you need one. Nothing about the price changes when you hire somebody.
